At least we've got a breather now, but if I've got the timing right we're probably due for some other disaster to happen soon.
[ and she's not necessarily better prepared for whatever could happen in spite of how long she's lived here. if she's learned anything, it's that she can't predict what's coming. ]
Lots of things. Starting a new art project. Reading in the park. Going to the record store that becomes a karaoke bar a couple nights a week. Hanging out with my friends. The hot pot place has my favorite takeout, hands down.

you still alive?
( the last time he'd seen her had been in rapture because he'd been too out of his head with anger to really think about her after that. )

Yes.
Although you probably figured that out based on the fact that I'm responding to this right now.
[ sorry, amos, she texts kind of like she talks. which is... a lot. ]
Feels a little surreal to be back, huh?

but i'd prefer to be here than there
even if this place is a fuckin' shitshow sometimes too
( he's glad only a few people saw him being as violent as he was a little while ago. )

so what is it you do when you're not running into me during some fucked up situation?

[ she gives him the name with the hope that it could jog his memory for where it's located in town, even if he's never been inside. ]
What are you up to when I'm not running into you?
no subject
( because he wasn't really the type of guy who bought art supplies. )
i work at the junkyard. and sometimes go out and have a drink or go out and shoot something.
( something not someone. )

[ all thanks to that giant mural that covers the entire outside of the building. ]
Do you have a favorite place to get a drink? It feels like there's a new bar popping up every week.
[ and honestly, she gets the need to drink that this place creates. ]
no subject
not really. if it serves alcohol, that's a good place to go.
unless you like a specific type of drink i guess
no subject
Some people prefer a quieter drinking experience, though. [ she's including herself in that category. ]
no subject
you don't want a good bar brawl
they can be fun sometimes
no subject
[ even if she could hold her own if she got swept up in one. ]

( fill him in! )

maybe laugh at anyone who was really bad.
no subject
Though I think your tolerance for bad singing goes up when your blood alcohol level does.
no subject
if you know you're gonna be bad at it, why?
( genuine question. )
