[ and some of that is definitely the wolf talking, because she marked him as a part of her pack a long time ago — with everything that that involves, including making sure he's safe when she has the ability within her to do make that happen. ]
I can't even imagine what that would do to someone. Especially depending on how long he's been in that kind of a world.
I know you wouldn't, but I don't want you to get hurt either. He wouldn't hold back because you're my girlfriend.
[ And he knows just as much about killing werewolves as anyone else around here, even if maybe that's something he hasn't had to think about for a while. ]
Honestly I don't know either. If I can convince him that it's really me maybe we can talk about it. Eventually.
Or maybe I can just keep him in the basement forever. It's one of the safest places in town.
[ He's kidding. But it's probably not very funny. ]
[ she doesn't really know what kind of world this dean has been living in, but she has to hope that this isn't going to be their new normal with him in deerington from now on. ]
I think eventually you might have to give him things like food and water. I've heard that's kind of important.
[ maybe she's trying to briefly have a sense of humor about it too, but obviously it's not all that hilarious of a situation. ] I can be there. If you need.
It shouldn't. We're just going to have to be careful with him.
[ Even when Dean is convinced that he isn't carrying Lucifer around, given how bad this place is about messing with their heads Sam's not sure they'll be entirely out of the woods. Then again, he never entirely lets his guard down around here anyway as it is. ]
I just need to talk to him first. I'll let you know how it goes.
[ and then, because it suddenly occurs to her to ask: ]
Is there any way for me to be able to tell the difference? This might sound weird, but... anything about his smell that would make it easier for me to tell them apart?
Physically they're probably the same. He sounds different to me, but it's hard to describe. Other than that I guess the easiest way is to see if he recognizes you.
Just... don't tell him about the werewolf thing yet, if you can avoid it. Obviously he's going to have to get used to that around here but I don't know how he's going to react.
You know how our Dad was a pretty hardcore hunter, right? For a long time Dean wanted to be just like him. So when Dad told us that we couldn't ever hesitate with anything that wasn't human, that's what Dean swore by. It didn't matter what they said, or what they did or didn't do.
We've been doing our own thing for a while now, Dean knows that not everything's as black and white as Dad wanted us to believe, but I don't know how much of that happened for this Dean. After living long enough in an Apocalypse he might be worse than ever.
Maybe it wouldn't make a difference to him anymore. I don't know.
[ And 'I don't know' is not reassuring at all when they're talking about Dana's well-being. ]
So me telling him I'm a werewolf would probably mean getting up close and personal with a silver bullet.
[ might as well just spell it out, right? ]
Okay. You know I trust your judgment when it comes to this kind of thing. Your brother especially and everything you guys went through. And like you said, there's too much we don't know about what this Dean went through to take any chances.
I know he's from a whole different timeline and I'm not his Sam, but I want to help him. I mean obviously we have to get him to the point where he's not trying to kill me, but maybe living here can be better for him than what he came from.
I know. As far as this whole Dean thing goes, I trust your judgment on it, okay?
And he is still your brother. He might have dealt with a different set of circumstances, but that part is the same. So whatever you think you might need to do.
[ and she'll be there to support him in whatever way he needs, because ultimately she knows that this is something that might need to be worked out between the two of them. ]
[ she wants to say she doesn't know how true that is, but the truth is she doesn't know one way or another. and she wishes she could say or do more to reassure him. ]
We can take each day as it comes. Each day that he's not here. And maybe we can find a way to keep him from trying to get to you again.

Based on what you're not saying I'm guessing the chances of him reacting positively to that piece of information are... not high.

I don't want to find out the hard way.

At the very least I just have to convince him that he shouldn't kill me. Anything beyond that, we'll just have to see.
And hope that Lucifer doesn't find a way to follow him.

[ she'll stay out of it as long as she has to, but if it becomes something that threatens him... she'll do what she has to there, too. ]
You don't think it's possible, do you?

Sometimes I worry that he's still tied to me somehow.
[ he can't be possessed again, not without inviting Lucifer in
probably. it's hard to say anything for sure around here ]
